I have been using the 1.25” net with my 2 hay baskets for the past 6 months with great success! The net has held up beautifully with my 3 hungry horses. I have been able to go down to 2 feedings a day because it takes them 6-7 hours to eat their hay per feeding. The whole net system is well made and super easy to fill and close up.

the netting needs to be able to reach the bottom of the basket to ensure the horses can reach it all- the “extra” netting when the basket is full just “floats” on top, as the horses eat the hay down the netting falls down into the basket.

Great product!!! Only had this for a couple of days but love it so far. I have a 25 year old Paso Fino that is overweight along with a 10 year old rescue horse that is on his way to being overweight. Both horses had no problem figuring things out and are now eating alot slower. Hay is lasting several hours longer now. Will purchase another one when needed. Once more …. Great product !!!

I’ve had another brand of hay basket cover. It fell apart quickly. This Hay Burners net is going to last forever! It’s really rugged, but very soft and pliable. It’s sooo easy to install and use!! I LOVE IT!! My horses love it too!

The quality of this product is excellent, however it did not work well for my needs in the climate of upstate NY. Snow & ice would build up on the net making it stiff & difficult to pull back to fill and for the horses to eat out of. Was great for limiting hay waste.

This hay net absolutely does the job. If you’re going to spend the money for a tarek hay basket why end up wasting hay w/o the convenience of saving the hay with this hay net? It is so easy to use with the basic bunge cord that stretches around the feeder. Really recommend it. P

I’ve been using this for a couple weeks and so far I love it. It’s easy to load the hay, it’s a heavy duty net, and the horses are readily able to eat the hay. It takes 2 horses about 24 hours to eat a standard 2 string hay bale (approximately 2′ x 4′ ). I chose the 1.75 inch holes which seems to be working well. I think they would have a hard time if the holes were smaller.

Excellent product! I had hoped the 3.5″ hole basket topper would stop the hay flinging for my colt without limiting his enthusiastic eating and it has done exactly that. He can truly eat free choice but without the ability to scatter his hay all over creation and tromp it into the ground.
