If you have a color preference, please put in the check out notes and we will try to accommodate. If you want ONLY a certain color, please check with us prior to ordering for availability.
Please keep in mind the smaller the mesh the more abuse it will take from the horses teeth, this can cause premature wear on the nets if the horse is not picking the hay out but grabbing the net and shaking it or just ripping at the net. THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR CAN SUBSTANTIUALLY SHORTEN THE LIFE OF YOUR NET and generally shows the horse is not ready for that small of a hole.

These are by far the best purchase I have made for feeding solutions. I’ve tried other hay bags and the Porta Grazers but these bags are my favorites!! The bales fit perfect and the 3/4″ holes facilitate the “grazing” experience for my horses!! Couldn’t be more pleased!!!

They are great and easy to fill. I got the 3/4” for my easy keepers and experienced hay bag eaters. For horses not familiar with hay bags I would recommend a larger hole.

Love these hay bags, my horses have not been able to chew through them!!!! They are great quality and easy to use with the large CA hay bales. The toggle makes them easy to close up.

These bags are the Best! I’ve used others, but these last and last!
Fast shipping, easy ordering!

As always, love their products. soft material means gentler on their noses but very durable. 4 years of heavy use, still like new. Worth EVERY penny, durable, and replacing all my others with HayBurner products.

no wasted hay awsome product

It holds a full bale plus 3 to 4 flakes. I will be ordering more hay bags soon.

This is absolutely wonderful. I used it camping and no hay waste for my old man.

I have used several different hay bags until I found these. They are THE BEST, they are easy to fill and my horses have not eaten through or damaged them at all. I haven’t had to repair any of them. Timely shipment and completely satisfied!

I’ve been buying from Hay Burners for years! Excellent service and product! Money savers!!

Despite buying “heavy-duty” these don’t have the same substantial fee as the smaller bags.

I am sorry to hear you feel this way about the 3/4″ material – this is the same material we have used for several years now and its made to the same break strength as the original 3/4″ we had several years ago, its a different manufacturer and a different type of knitting machine. This “weave” style is actually stronger than the original weave style which was flatter and thinner

The first net I bought from Hay Burners, my new horse tore a hole in it in a week. However, this may have been due to her frustration because she was not familiar with slow feeding nets…and it was up against a wall where she could put her full teeth force against it. This is the only hole that has developed in 6 months. It is a very durable net, and has held up very well despite the original tear. I loved the net so much I’ve gotten a second one (and no tear holes have occurred in this one. ) I LOVE the large opening for ease of filling the net and the quick closure rope. I would definitely recommend these nets.

I bought 2 of these nets and they are amazing! I had a great experience with Hay Burners Equine. I ordered the nets and they were promptly shipped and delivered.

amazing!! they easily fit a bale and a half of the two string 35-40 lb bales we buy. we scatter loose hay around to promote movement, but whenever we’re gone for a few days and aren’t around to put hay out regularly, these are super nifty! extremely well designed with thick, durable, and soft netting. will be buying more soon!

Product is very good quality. Very easy to load hay bale in. I put it into a Rubbermaid tub, which works great…but…I purchased the 3 inch hole bag, not really big enough for draft horses to eat out of without getting frustrated. They ate for a bit, walked away, came back and then at some point the gelding Clydesdale picked up the entire bale, carried out of the shed about 100 feet into the pasture. The 2 Clyde’s moved it around, nibbling at it and then went back into the shed with the Rubbermaid tub and ate all the hay that had fallen out of the bag. I am going to try to tie the bag into the tub and try again…I might have to figure out a way to make the holes bigger. I am not using as a slow feeder just a way to have less waste. I do thing you have a good product. Thank you

I am surprised to hear your drafts are having an issue eating from a 3″ mesh – I have many customers with draft horses that use the 2-1/4″ mesh without issue. They may just need a little time to figure it out 🙂

Love the bag itself but the rope and toggle could be beefier. I replaced both.

These hay bags perfectly fit a “small bale” of hay, or a little less if you hand-carry your bales out to feeding stations and need the bags to not be so heavy. I love them. So do the horses. Minimal pawing, no frustration, and a great size to introduce them to hay net-based feeding exclusively before going down to smaller sizes (if needed). I got the optional pull string and highly recommend adding this. Delivery was super fast. Thank you!

I love it so much I ordered another one within a week of getting the first one! These hay nets are strong, but so soft! I love the size of this particular bag (fits 1 bale, probably can fit more)! I love that when I walk into the barn in the morning, my filly still has plenty of hay to munch on which makes us both happy!
I had been using another brand of hay net and I was having to fill 2 bags multiple times a day, that is to the Hay Burner Bag, it’s once every few days. I’ll be ordering more for our other horses!

Hands down, the best hay net I have come across thus far. We have one horse and bought two, filled them with her daily allotted pounds +some overfill and hung them through the pasture. This allowed us to travel for a weekend for the first time in 6 months, with hay left over when we returned. By controlling the rate she eats, she’s relaxed and learned to self regulate versus gobbling her meals. We purchased the 1.25in mesh, but she’s nearly an expert slow net feeder. If you are looking for an alternative to the lifestyle of “sorry I have to get home to feed- my horse is going to lose it”, this is it. It’s our daily feeder now, filled once/24 hours. Continual access to forage = happy horse. The size is LARGE- the extra easily bunches with a large carabiner, and works outstanding for larger fills. Oh and the material- its like a thick, soft rope, not the plastic-y stuff cheap nets are made from.

top quality bags made by hand – excellent customer service. My ponies eat perfectly out of these bags, and it saves them from over eating.

Absolutely love these hay bags! Purchased the 1.75 inch net to help keep the hay off the sandy ground and in the feeder. Works wonderfully! Only picking up a handful of hay each day from the ground after switching to these nets. The knot-less design keeps them from sliding the knots and making nose holes, and these hold up better then the nylon web nets.
Also, I ordered 6 hay bags, and I really appreciate that they had the thoughtfulness to make sure each bag had a different colored draw cord. Very happy!
