Description
3 String bale bags, these bags are BIG, they will hold roughly 2.5 standard bales or the large 3 string bales that weigh around 100 pounds (approximate bale size 17″x 25″ x 48″ long)
Paracord pull closure with cord lock comes standard – If you are hanging the net using the pull string, we recommend the rope upgrade.

Please keep in mind the smaller the mesh the more abuse it will take from the horses teeth, this can cause premature wear on the nets if the horse is not picking the hay out but grabbing the net and shaking it or just ripping at the net. THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR CAN SUBSTANTIUALLY SHORTEN THE LIFE OF YOUR NET and generally shows the horse is not ready for that small of a hole.

I have been feeding my 2 horses by the bale for several years using these hay bags. I only have to feed every 36 to 48 hours, which is great! I bought my bags in 2018 and they are worn but still in great shape. The horses have not yet bit through any of the cords or otherwise damaged them, even though the bags are outside and subjected to all weather.

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these hay nets! They are soft but super strong and without knots to scrape my horses gums and muzzle. I put a whole bale of grass hay in it, put the bale in a commercial vegetable bin and my horses can graze as they feel the need to so their bellies always have feed in them. I use a one inch because my Friesan draft is an easy keeper on top of being a chow hound and it’s the perfect size for him. Plus the customer service is awesome! I have bugged her and she has answered all of my questions and is always very nice.

I am sorry to hear you feel this way about the 3/4″ material – this is the same material we have used for several years now and its made to the same break strength as the original 3/4″ we had several years ago, its a different manufacturer and a different type of knitting machine. This “weave” style is actually stronger than the original weave style which was flatter and thinner

I purchased a smaller 2 string bag a while ago and sadly after the warranty expired, my horses made a hole in the net.
I talked to the company and even though it was too late for normal warranty, they sent me a replacement! Amazing service, really appreciate it.

Good value. The mesh isn’t quite as robust as some other brands, so it stretches a little bit. I’d just size down one size hole net, to accommodate that.

Huge hay net! It does stretch, so take that into account when ordering. I have used nets for many, many years. This is by far the strongest, but softest net I’ve used. Have been using both hay net and bale net for a month. Feeding yearlings, mares and stallion. There is very little wasted hay left. Feeding both grass hay and oat hay. Before netting the hay . There was easily 40 % of spoiled that was pulled out of hay basket. Now only a few handful are left. Besides being very user friendly. This was a second purchase after getting the half bale size, we wanted a full bale version. The nets have held up amazing well in the pasture environment. They are just lose and get kicked and carried around with no problem. They are good as new after many months. Our horses do not have shoes so might not do this with a shod horse but no problems for us so far. Excellent product.
